My trip to Grand Canyon made me think about the temple formations in the rock and was really surprised to know about the many names for the cliffs were Shiva temple,Vishnu temple etc.Geologist Clarence Dutton named the base of grand canyon which could have been formed by lava according to him as Vishnu base rock and the temple names as Shiva, Brahma ,Ra etc..were used by the tribal people in the area ..Looking at it,it made me think about the Mayan architecture. Mayans are indigenous people of Mexico and Central America.The very thought made me connect to the Mayan or Mayasura who was great ancient King of asuras.He was the chief architect in pathala or the world under.Mayan and his people even used to melt stones to make new formations.

Now a question came to my mind what's on the other side of Grand Canyon because the mystic feeling there was so high.That question led me to gather some information..In sanatana dharma puranas and Vedas and other holy texts ,it is said that pathal lok or pathala is a place under the earth or the bharathavarsham.Even in our ancient texts it says the earth is hollow.so what did our forefathers mean by underworld?
As per them,there are seven lokas and seven thalas meaning underworlds,thats how 2*7 = 14 worlds..lokas are bhuloka(earth),bhuvarloka(air),svarloka(heaven),maharloka,janaloka,tapaloka(abodes of meditation) and satyaloka(world of truth or Bhrahmaloka)and the thalas or underworlds being Atala,Vitala,Sutala,Rasatala,Talatala,Mahatala and Pataala.The suryasiddhantha says : "surasuranam anyonyam ahoratra viparyayaha" meaning for sura and asura days and nights are interchangeable or are the opposite. That means they are on the opposite sides of the earth.

Suras are the people in the lokas and asuras are the people of pathala...asuras doesn't mean bad...one who is not sura is asura. Pathala is the land of daityas and snakes or nagas.so what's on the other side of the old bharathavarsha(bhu)?It is the current Americas and Mexico :) Our forefathers were genius people Who denoted the down side or the other side as pathala.

Narada Maharishi describes his visit to pathala in vishunu puran as a place which is more rich than the upper region of universe.The life there is of pleasure ,wealth and luxury,with no distress.Mayan architect has constructed palaces,temples,houses and hotels for foreigners with jewels.Natural beauty surpasses heaven.The soil is white ,black,purple,sandy,yellow,stony and of gold..In many texts,visits of different people to pathala are described.It is said Mayan created 3 kinds of women one of which change partners according to their will. Pathala is said to be more materialistic showing lesser inclination to spirituality.

According to the legends,the mighty eagle,Lord Vishnu's vahana ,transported thousands of mariners named snakes in his beak to pathala.The legends of the O'odhams of Arizona describes such sky-ships that is some flying ship which could be Garuda.The coincidence is that the Mexican flag symbol itself is an eagle holding snake.The Aztecs were the original inhabitants of Mexico and the legend is that the people were commanded to build a city wherever they saw eagle clutching a snake and that's how Mexico city was made.

Some scholars have found a connection between the Aztec civilization and hinduism.As per Mahabharata ,the sarpa race( snakes who can live as humans also) were massacred in
bharathavarsha at the time of janamejaya who ruled after 3100 BC.janamejaya was the son of parikshith who was killed by the snake Thakshaka.These sarpa race people were saved by a sage named Astika.This race thus settled in South America and considered Astika muni as their father,so called themselves Astek and thus the name Aztec.Aztec is derived from worshipper of Ashtabhuja or Ashtak(8 armed),the 8 armed God found in Mexican temples,nowhere in the world are multi armed gods except in India.Many Shiva temples and kalidevi statues have been found in Mexico.

Now about our dearest King Mahabali,the strong and just King who is wrongly depicted with a pot belly and all, opposite to what his name suggests.. :)His name suggests he was big ,well-built and strong .When vamana ,incarnation of Lord Vishnu asked Bali for 3 foot land, he readily gave him what was asked..but 3 foot covered 3 quarters of land which may have covered everywhere except pathala.But on seeing Mahabali's greatness, Lord blessed him that the place where he is going that is pathala will be richer than earth and heaven and that he will have all materialistic comforts... Mahabali after donating the land, with some of his people especially from the now Kerala and other parts left to the southern part of America .On his path he discovered suthala (South East Asia) and the suvarnabhoomi (Australia)which is mentioned in many parts of the Puranas,Talatala(Antarctica) and pathala(south America)..Some of his men is said to have settled in Mahatala(North America) too.May be that's why the Mexicans look exactly like Indians.They look
like us only.Their love for rice,spicy food,banana chips and their use of coconut, rawplantain ,banana leaves etc...make us really surprised. Red Indian settlements are found in Mexico,Arizona and California and are from our roots.The name Talatala was corrupted to Toltec which is a place still existing in Mexico.Mayan created 3 cities for Mahabali called Tribuvanak now called Tiahuanaco in Mexico.Later the sarpa race also inhabited this place.All these colonies were called Navatala meaning new colonies.This still exists in South America called as Nahuatl,the people are called Nava and their language Nahuatl.

As per the sacred texts,there was a conflict between Indra and Mahabali regarding the boundaries of East and West..Lord came down to earth and put up a sign post as a Trident shape (thrishul) to determine the boundaries which is said to be the Trident of Peru..
Pathal lok is described at a distance of 70000 yojanas from Bharathavarsha.scholars say it is the same distance from earth if travelled vertically to entrance of America. In Ramayana,it is said that Lord Hanuman travelled 70000 yojanas from earth ( pathalkot in Madhyapradesh) to the pathala where Lord Ram and Lakshman were kidnapped by Mahiravana ,brother in law of the Rakshasa King Ravana.There is a lost city,cicudad Blanca or white city in Honduras dedicated to Monkey God.In 1939,Theodore morde,an American explorer found the lost city of Monkey God.The surprising part is the images of crocodile on the pyramids.In Ramayana,when Lord Hanuman visited pathala ,he met his son makharadwaja meaning crocodile(another story).Morde asserted that the Monkey God he found was Lord Hanuman, the Monkey God of India.There is an interesting story among the Pech Indians .Sun and Moon were first stuck together.It was when the God of Wind blew the sun away ,they were separated.The image of God of Wind was found in the site at white city.Surprisingly,Lord Hanuman is known as the son of Wind God and when he was an infant ,he had an encounter with the sun( trying to swallow) and his father Wind God (vayudeva) came to save him from Indra.

Kubera (Lord of wealth and King of semi divine people called yakshas) is also said to have travelled across pathala .Even today several American Indian tribes worship spider woman (8 armed durga) and coyote man(Lord Shiva).According to O'odhams of Arizona, their sacred mountain is Baboquivari,which is named after kubera as quivera(Khyber or kheever) and they believe sewa,sua or Siva live within it.Baboquivari is also alive with rattlesnakes. The range is believed to be full of gold.Babo means grandfather or respected. Their sacred song is called Gita or kita.Sivan or
svan people are found in north americas such as suwanee,siboney,siwana and sewana.

Hindus and Mayas use umbrellas as Royal symbol which is mentioned in Sanskrit literatures and sangam Tamil literatures.And also Gods seated upon elephants definitely not African elephants , are seen in temples .They are Indian elephants which are tamed and used for worship in temples.Americas don't have elephants.They had only mammoths in the North.Swastikas and lotus are found on ancient ruins across ancient Europe.

Nazca lines is in southern part of Peru,which is a group of geoglyphs made in desert sands. It's area is nearly 1000 sq and has about 300 different figures.The discovery of an ancient Indian Mandala makes the Nazca lines more mysterious.It includes Lord Shiva's Trident like symbols,spider,Monkey,eagle ,plants etc..Sugreeva in Ramayana refers to it when he directed his vanarasena to search sita devi .

Egyptian Kings who lived 3500 years ago where named Ramses which mean ramesh meaning remeswar(Lord Shiva).Egyptian Pharaoh's adorned their heads with snakes like Lord Shiva.
There are accounts in the sacred texts that Arjuna visited pathala desha,and married Ulupi,a Naga princess,the daughter of Naga King Kauravyan.A son was born to them named Iravan.Ulupi is neither Greek nor a Sanskrit name.

Sun has been worshipped in different names throughout the world. The depictions are very similar to those in Hinduism.In German mythology,it is Sol,Greek, it is Helios and Apollo,Egyptian ,it is Ra,chinese, it is Taiyang shen,Africans also consider sun as God and all of them show sun as riding on a chariot.In the Vedas ,there are Adityas meaning a group of solar deities,numbering 12.The sandhyavandanam ritual is a group of hand gestures and body movements to greet and respect the sun.Later these Adityas merged into 1 sun God.Similarly in the Aztec civilization of America there were many Sun Gods.

It is also known that in the East we prepared calendars based on Jupiter and in the West mayan calendars were based on Venus.According to Vedas the Guru or Teacher for the Devas is Brihaspathy (Jupiter) and the Guru or Teacher for Asuras is Shukracharya ( Venus).

Some of the Sanskrit names of towns found by scholars are Guatemala- Gauthamalaya,Tiwanaku-Devanaga,Tikal-Trikala,Teotihuachan-Deva Takshan, Mitla-Mithila,Orinoco-Ori Nagan,Machu Pichu- Macha Pucham,Yaxchilan-Yakshasheelan and there are many more.Australian wild native tribes dance with a third eye painted on their forehead and it's called the Siva dance .

The account on Shiva Purana says about the destruction of Tripuras, or the triple city the capital of Atala that is the now called Atlantis ( the famous tripuradahanam).It was constructed by Mayan with astonishing architecture for Vidyunmali,Tarakaksha and Viryavana,the sons of Tarakasura.They were granted the boon of 3 floating forts by Brahma and if anyone can destroy the rotating Tripura with a single arrow only then death can come to them.(karna parva Mahabharata)..The Asuras became uncontrollable regarding their bad deeds .Mahadev(God of Gods ) was the only one who could destruct the triple city with a single arrow. He mounted on an areal vehicle (vimana) and used his weapon to destruct tripura. And asked Varuna Deva (sea God) (equivalent to the God Poseidon in Greek myths)to sub merge the cities.

In Puranas it says Asuras were giants ...and several giant mummies and remains had been found through out the world. Many were above 9ft height.
According to G.E .kinkaid who explored a single cave in the grand canyon,traces of human life in the past had been found,a civilization which reached a very high position..Granaries were found,utensils of copper,weapons and several giant rooms were also there.one of the Chambers was smelling deadly and snakey ...so out of fear they didn't explore further.An idol was found seated in dhyana position with 2 lotuses in two hands.God only knows what's the truth.
what information I have collected and mentioned here is just a small part of a big historical connection.our forefathers were a million times brainier than us...whatever they ve said has a solid scientific base and reason.our holy texts are not just myths but are scientifc texts with examples from history. This mother nature is the only witness to everything.she never lies .However we sometimes act like frogs in well without knowing anything..But there are tons of things for us to know and to know the greatness of God.
This is not a religious post. I respect the religious, non religious, believer, atheist, modernist, orthodox, anything which has a life in it and also which does not have life in it because that is what the sanatana dharma teaches us.whichever is the way, destination is the same..
